Bio
After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, Lauren found her passion for education while working at a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool. Her love of travel took her overseas to Thailand where she lived and taught English at an elementary and middle school. She eventually moved to Washington D.C. to earn her master’s degree in International Education from American University. As one of the founding teachers at the elementary school, Lauren is dedicated to the school's mission and vision. Her favorite subject to teach is math and she enjoys building confidence in her students as mathematicians. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire her students to love learning by supporting their innate desire to ask questions, explore, and discover. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys visiting national parks, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
