Bio
A Scottish native but spent most of his childhood in the Bahamas, Dr. Lockhart has B.S. in Music Education from Tennessee State University. His teaching career began in early 2012 as a teacher assistant for 5th grade. Over the years, Dr. Lockhart has held many positions within the education realm such as Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator, ELA Instructional Coach and Director of Student Services.
In 2015, he earned in master’s degree in special education (cross categorical) from Grand Canyon University. Later that year he began working on his doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership with Emphasis in Higher education in which he recently completed in 2022. Outside of the school setting Dr. Lockhart spends a lot of time with his poodles King and Karma who take up most of his free time. Aside from spending quality time with his dogs he enjoys baking, playing pool, writing music, and gardening but his favorite hobby is working out.
Dr. Lockhart has a passion for education and a great love for children hence why he chose the path of education. His educational philosophy is “All students can learn and want to learn, and it is his job to meet them where they are and move them forward.”
