Our Program

New LA Elementary courses are aligned to the Common Core State Standards and are focused on academic rigor, relevance for students, and working on respect and relationships through study and group work. Every class at New LA has rigorous standards. Each class attempts to connect to the lives of our students, making the material relevant. Projects and social justice themes where appropriate help reinforce student and teacher relationships and the mutual respect necessary to succeed in teamwork and in life.

In addition, New LA believes that it is important for students to experience physical education, arts, computer programming, health education, and community engagement.
